In a bizarre partnership that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The mission centers on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Material
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
