The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
