The Opening Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the death bells for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites have started writing about PlayStation unprecedentedly. The past year represented complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company still intends to draw people in with compelling titles on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Noteworthy Smaller Games

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription by themselves. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — transforming them into ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
