The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, demons, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the main group to begin their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might look unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as important members in the influential clan could assist the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in search of the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
